Lightning is a 40cm x 50cm abstract painting that uses black, white and yellow paints over a cracked clay canvas to create a composition inspired by lightning. The vibrant yellow colour stands out from the dark background and looks great streaked across the textured clay, forking sporadically as lightning does. I love the contrast in brightness on this painting. It would look beautiful as an accessory on a side table or a small wall.

Samuel is a full time artist and a graduate of Interior Architecture who developed his painting style in abstract work full of bold color palettes and layers of texture.
