About The Artwork
This is a painting I did a couple of years ago for my first exhibition. The subject is the model Ruby Campbell, who I painted from one of her shots with her permission. I loved the colours in the image and the playfulness of it. Birds, also, are an important and recurring subject in my work and so when I saw this image I had to paint it!!

J A C Bezer is an English artist based in Barcelona, Spain. Self-taught, his interests lie in portraiture, figurative, and abstract painting. His focus for the last year has been his collection of bird paintings. Each is an oil painting of a bird on top of and abstract background painted in acrylics. In this collection he is interested in the juxtaposition between the formless abstract backgrounds and the crispness and detail on the birds on top. He divides his time teaching, painting originals and working on commissions.
