About The Artwork

This abstract artwork in acrylic on canvas is framed with wood and showcased in a shadowbox, adding depth and uniqueness to its pastel-colored composition. The delicate beauty of flowers served as the primary inspiration for this artwork. Observing the intricate details and vibrant colors of flowers sparked the creative process behind the piece. I hope viewers will feel a sense of tranquility and appreciation for the subtle interplay of colors and shapes, while also contemplating the transient and finite nature of life. By immersing themselves in the artwork, I aim to evoke feelings of serenity and admiration for the beauty of nature, intertwined with reflections on the impermanence of existence. Acrylic was chosen as the medium for its versatility and ability to capture vibrant hues and textural depth. The subject matter of flowers was selected for its timeless beauty and universal appeal. The style leans towards abstraction to provide a contemporary interpretation of natural elements, inviting viewers to engage with the artwork on both aesthetic and emotional levels.

I am a Swiss artist with Spanish roots. I live and work in Basel / Switzerland. My works are abstract, mostly acrylic on canvas. Rarely I go out of concepts, but from color and form. What is created during the painting process and what is the feeling of it? Is it something known or unknown? Sometimes I emphasize black elements, which one would not otherwise notice. Later they are replaced by further color layers. Thus, with time, a picture emerges, which is a part of my inner world.
