About The Artwork
Everyone seems to be attracted to the brilliant pink/orange plumage of the flamingos. I understand that the coloring comes from what they eat, but I always think of flamingo "pink" as their natural color. This group of flamingos has both an abstract quality and a touch of impressionism in the use of color. The brushwork is lively and somewhat textured. The colors range from "magenta" pink to red-orange against a muted blue-green/gray background. The painting is acrylic on canvas which has been attached to a treated panel .25 thick. It is ready to be framed.
