About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by a photo I found of Adriana Lima- one of fashion's most beautiful faces. One of my favorite parts of the photo was her hair, which was separated into little wisps across her face. I used a variety of acrylic mediums to transform the properties of acrylic paint, allowing me to achieve the realistic affect in the painting. The details of the face have an almost watercolor affect, done by using blending mediums and unconventional tools. The background texture is a mix of big brush strokes, thick, glossy palette knife marks and stenciled texture. This is a very large painting done on 3" Belgian Linen.
