About The Artwork
The pharmacy is closed - this is the English translation of the title of the work. This sentence is a sentence I learned while walking around Berlin. It was during my solo exhibition in this city. The title, as often happens in my paintings, evoked a vision of an evening robbery at a pharmacy. This story is, of course, only my internal story, my story that accompanies me while painting. Due to its size, the painting is sent in a roll to be stretched. Strong in colors.

Rafał Chojnowski (born 1966). Painter and designer. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław (currently Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts) at the Faculty of Painting, in the studio of prof. Andrzej Klimczak Dobrzaniecki and prof. Konrad Jarodzki. He studied graphic art at the Camden School of Art in London. He lives and works in Wrocław. His works are, among others in collections: USA, England, Austria, Poland and Portugal. He has participated in many exhibitions, both individual and collective, in Poland and abroad
