Highgate Cemetery always fascinated especially the Egyptian Style east gate. Three couple are dancing in front of the gate outside of the cemetery. They are celebrating life in front of a place where all of us will end up. These couples are enjoying,celebrating life with the knowledge of there own mortality. NOTE: The dimensions given included the frame which was constructed of 1 by 2 inch pine. The actual canvas size is 16 by 20 inches.

I was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 31, 1950. I currently work in oils but have also worked in water colors and stained glass.I currently live in rural Michigan but spent the majority of my life living in Detroit. I have always been conscious of social conditions and the environment around me. I try to reflect my feelings about these issues in my paintings. I feel art, should among other things, stir ones conscious toward issues that impact their fellows.
