About The Artwork
The theme of the Harlequins' dance, which is obviously a reference to the tradition of the Italian Commedia dell'Arte, came to me during a wonderful night of dance and joy. The vibrating of our body reminds us the lightness of existence and its drama, darkness is never too far. The sketch was made with directly on canvas with watercolor sanguine pencils and the painting with oil colours during the early months of 2019
