Small-scale painting on canvas-wrapped board. A tester or study piece of sorts, just playing about with paint and colours. Inspired by the sky, clouds, dawn & sunset. Colour note: The central section of this painting is a warm rose pink admixed with orange, the darker section this is layered over is a rich plum colour, very similar to RAL* 4004 (Bordeauxviolett). The edges of the painting are a neutral grey/purple colour. The piece is strung with picture wire, ready to hang. Clearly signed & dated by me on the back. *The RAL system is a colour index commonly used for commercial paints/powder coating etc. I come across it a lot in paint shops and acquired a RAL colour chart. I use this to assist in describing the colours in my paintings as computer monitors vary so much.
