How to paint what one sees rather than what one looks at? This was what I was asking as I worked on this still life. The detail by detail even focus across vision as a camera records the world is nothing like how we see. I suppose it is a question I constantly ask because I am interested in visual perception & how different it is from the mainstream belief that the camera is always accurate.
