Appaloosas are a unique animal in the horse world. I am always inspired by their unusual coat and the way the colors catch the light in different times of day. This particular painting shows the wild spirit of this appaloosa horse and he runs - almost as if to escape ! The painting is acrylic on canvas mounted on an archival 100% birch wood panel 1.5" thick for hanging directly from the box. Hardware is included. The panel has been finished with a rich walnut brown as shown in the photos.

I was once traveling with a close friend, photographing everything in sight, as any tourist does. I asked him, "Don't you want to take any photos?" A native of Fort Worth, Texas, my artistic career began at an early age when I began painting with my mother on Sunday afternoons.
