This work is a tale of art and recalls the story of Alice in Wonderland (Indeed "A tangled tale" is a story by the same author). The girl with the rabbit ears and the flowers is a modern Alice lost in the land of art. The background is an exhibition of Alexander Calder in the MOMA Museum, that took place in the forties. I am a huge fan of Calder, and I am very much interested in the historical context of the first half of the century, where this art as been produced. The coat the girl is wearing is a piece of Blumarine and shows a complex muster of flowers. Originally it was made out of rabbit furry but I do not agree with furry production, therefore I have decided to change the material. In order to obtain this multilayered shadows effect in the background, I colored on many different levels using different type of pastels, charcoals, watercolor and gouache.

Mixed technique including watercolor, gouache, pastel, pencil and charcoal on paper. Colored on many layers.
