VIEW IN MY ROOM
This is the first example I've released of my new style, which is called Cubist Faux Fauvism. This painting contains the perspective of the waitress and the customer. By rotating the canvas 180 degrees, an entirely new composition is revealed. While traditional Cubism seeks to depict a subject by capturing it from several different physical perspectives, Cubist Faux Fauvism seeks to depict a theme by capturing it from several narrative perspectives.

My name is Josh Byer. I live and work in Vancouver, Canada. I started painting non-stop after a conversation I had with my mother on her deathbed. "Don't wait," she said. My style is called Faux Fauvism. An art technique founded in the study of pattern recognition, Faux Fauvism attempts to create a “cloudgazing” effect by exploring elements of visual cognition.
