About The Artwork
The painted papers used in this collage come from my mono-printing practice, and give the piece a semi-abstract feel. I enjoy using corny retro imagery -- thus the mother and child w the stuffed rabbit. I also am always referring to the many mysteries of our life on this planet and so there is a connection with the moon showing through the goblet. The pure symmetry of the goblet shape was also an inspiration. These elements together form a story only the viewer can imagine and hopefully be intrigued by.

Collage before breakfast -- yes, really! Collage is an "anything goes" medium, and I love balancing all the different components. I have made collages since I was a teenager. For the last 11 or 12 years, it has been my primary art form, a form of visual poetry. Lately I have incorporated printmaking into my collage and mixed media practices. In 2017, I became a Signature member of the National Collage Society. Eligibility is based on having artwork selected in three of their annual juried shows.
