Krötionismus, Opus 1 Drawing

My drawing courses often start with a lovely idea coming from my students and then I join in to demonstrate techniques. Sometimes these demonstration drawings and paintings develop a life of their own. In this case a shaded sphere wanted to evolve and by letting things happen I ended up with something like a toad and more nonsense on my piece of paper ;o). A toad in German is a "Kröte". Playing around with the word Kreationismus (creationism) and Kröte I came up with the aptly fitting German-language title "Krötionismus". As a biologist I sometimes find it very hard to understand, why for some people it is so important that creation had to happen within just a week (creationism). To me, the magic remains unbroken, whether it takes seven days or seven billion years, whether it is made by nature or God, or even both.
