About The Artwork
Created from cast-off pieces from previous works, The Heart of the Matter is a whimsical piece inspired by majestic forests and the brilliant beauty of nature. The hope is that this will conjure visions of childhood fairytales set in lush landscapes and mythical creatures reminding us to treasure the miracle of the natural world we inhabit. The central images can be interpreted as boulders or as a heart, meant to represent the fact that without human interference nature will flourish involuntarily like a beating heart although it must be cared for. This piece comes in a simple oak frame for easy installation however it is recommended to reframe professionally to suit collector's taste and decor.
