Stitched collage installation of 1 - 12 panels. This is the second in a series of work inspired by our house move from inner City living to suburbia. ‘Suburbia’ came from the trials and tribulations experienced whilst moving from the noise, hustle and bustle and sheer buzz of inner city living to the peaceful tranquillity birdsong and boredom of suburbia…. Each panel is mounted onto a wooden stretcher measuring 42 x 52cm and may be hung individually or in any formation of your choice, depending on space available. Mirror plate fixing to a wall.

I am a textile artist living and working in Neath, South Wales. I have been making art quilts for a very long time - over 30 years! I love colour and use it for its contrasts and its vibrant and intense nature. I cut and fuse fabrics to make collage and am inspired by, urban, social and popular culture and natural forms. Making fabric collage is a natural outlet for my passion for cloth, for exploiting its possibilities and for providing a dialogue with the viewer. I believe that quilts are tactile evidence that we were here and have left something of value,as a mirror of ourselves and our accomplishments. http://bethanash.wixsite.com/-bethanash- www.bethanash.co.uk https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=bethan+ash
