As for my fascination with the theme of death, it dates back to my childhood. I experienced the loss of several relatives, including grandparents, before I reached an age of full comprehension. There was even an instance when my family delayed informing me about the passing of an uncle, assuming that I would be deeply affected. However, none of these losses had a profound impact on me as I would have expected. It left me pondering why this was the case. It was then that I realized that death doesn't always evoke fear or tragedy in me. Instead, I see it as a constant presence, something inherently beautiful. Through "The Fragility of Blossoms," I aim to share this perspective with viewers. The series encourages reflection on the coexistence of life and death, where the ephemeral beauty of blossoms reminds us of life's fleeting moments and the enduring allure of the inevitable. My choice of photography as a medium allows me to capture these moments in time, preserving the delicate beauty of flowers before they wither. Drawing inspiration from the high-contrast and often blurred imagery of the Japanese photography magazine Provoke, my style accentuates the transience of life and the ephemeral nature of the scenes I capture. Flowers, at different stages of bloom and decay, serve as a metaphor for the eternal cycle of life and death.
