Title: Old Friend Media: Watercolor, Pen & Ink, Tea, Pencil Artist: Jim Wildman Size: 12x18 inches (Framed: 18x24 inches) Year: 2022 This captivating piece, "Old Friend," part of my Portrait Series, is a testament to the enduring spirit of age and wisdom. Inspired by the resilience and stories etched in the lines of an old man's face, the painting invites viewers to reflect on the beauty of life's journey. The use of Watercolor, Pen & Ink, Tea, and Pencil adds depth and texture, enhancing the emotional connection with the subject. As you gaze upon "Old Friend," I hope you feel a sense of nostalgia and admiration for the wisdom conveyed through the wrinkles and expressions. The choice of mixed media reflects my desire to capture the complexity of human experiences in a contemporary style.
