About The Artwork
Taken in Seoul, Korea outside of a temple during prayer. -- This was taken when people were visiting the temple for prayer. The colors of the temple were melodic and colorful, drawing your eye to the center of the park where this temple stood. But like all religions, it brings to question why the frivolousness of architecture draws people in rather than the idea of a god does. Or rather, why do institutions such as these, despite considered sacred, use marketing schemes to draw people in? Do we go because of what we believe or what we're asked to believe?
