This is a very special image to me. It was taken the day after (14th November 2015) the Paris terrorist attacks that took place on the 13th. This was a Saturday, and Paris was almost empty. Almost no one in the streets. That was the context that made possible this photograph. This is rue de rivoli, which is impossible to be empty as it is here in any other day (or most of the night for that matter. The old Porsche made the image look timeless. It was taken in 2015, but could easily been made in the 60's. I used a Digital Leica Monochrom (black and white sensor) to make this image. This is a limited edition of 10 printed in FineArt Baryta Glossy FineArt 325 gsm, 100% a-Cellulose, bright white, high-gloss paper. The photograph is signed, numbered, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Prints are also available.

Portugal
Pedro Cardigo is a Portuguese photographer based in Porto. With a career as a professional photographer for over 25 years, from film (35mm and 120 format) to digital (full frame and medium format), exploring many ways to stock the reality into frames. He has shot fashion, editorial, portraits, architecture, street, product and corporate. He has developed several projects all over the world, specially in Japan, South Korea, China, Italy, France and obviously Portugal. Even though he started photographing at the age of 10 (with a polaroid Camera), his life try to led him away from photography. At 18 he went to college to study Management and Economics, which resulted in a successful career in corporate for 20 years. During this time Pedro Cardigo was having a double life, also working as a professional photographer. 3 years ago he decided to fully embrace his passion, he left his corporate career behind to became a full-time photographer. Like Jack Kerouac, Pedro Cardigo finds in the Human Being itself the basic inspiration for his work. He is a seeker of the human souls. He achieves part of his human experience by seeing, meeting, talking and sharing, one of the reasons he’s so comfortable with people. He’s in a constant search for what makes each one special, trying to look beneath the layers, and experimenting a deep inner experience of life. Pedro Cardigo’s eye is an existentialist filter on reality. He probes human existence, both individual and collective, making it the core of his artistic reflections. He tries to grasp the essential to develop a common language with the other, to grab something that finally goes beyond mere representation: contact with life in its many facets, potentials and bitter illusions.
