When I realize the magical world of nature and the imaginary world of the mind, I recognize the reality that I am alive for a limited time, with a body that can fall at any time. Is it possible not to think about life, knowing that the body will be lost once while alive? When one realizes the truth, one sees fellow beings like cows, goats, buffaloes, chickens, ducks, and fishes living together in harmony with nature. Those who live in peace know what peace is. Equality and tolerance are in harmony. Knowing what real love is through peace comes. Understanding the pain of others when opens the heart of love. Then, at least for a while, you will feel love for them and extend a helping hand. We become one when we feel like helping. There is no identity crisis. No highs and no lows. Neither you nor I. Just me and me. Just me. Everything is me. I am the universe! People cut trees without realizing that it is life. People dig up mountains without knowing that it is the soil where life grows. Without knowing that the core of our respiratory cycle is air, we pollute the atmosphere. We didn’t look at the sun and didn’t know the secret of the prana in the body. We indulge in darkness without knowing the comfort of night’s sleep. We suffer at the end of life due to addiction. Those who pray for happiness after death don’t realize that the earth is heaven. We die without living enough... These paintings are about the realities that have been experienced in life. I am alive now on this planet and rolling through the emptiness. The paintings are formed from my limited knowledge at this time. My work speaks of the spirit of inner revolution. I bow to the power that allows me to live here. Thank you Mathew Kurian
