© Dinner of friends – Last supper Acrylic - 110 cm x 160 cm The dinners of friends or the Holy Supper is a work that has a recurring obsession that I can not avoid. The question that happened, during that period of history is a reflection that many of us do. How and why a person's death occurs as a human being. From a vision that entails defined cultural parameters I also open the door to the reflection of the family whatever it is. The relationship with friends. The relationship with the world and how values are: empathy, humanity, influence, power, spirituality ... there is definitely a search that the human genre currently uses a path between scientific logical discourse to integrating discourse. The main idea is to express from a symbolic meaning and from a personal perspective between earthly and spiritual. From the most earthly part it is a celebration of a new couple enjoying with the company of their friends, among them there is the one who has the most weight and the one who has less. A total of 15 figures. The one on the left is. God or the great friend symbolized by five stars. Four in reference to the elements of the earth. The fifth element is the divine. The rest of the characters, specifically 12 characters, in reference to the apostles and finally the couple formed by Jesus of Nazareth and Mary Magdalene. Jesus Iscariot is placed on top of the table and has the extended hand to influence one of them. Jesus in the stomach side has the same treatment as the sky. Here the idea is that he was a different human person or not. Just different In the part of the sky the part of the stomach is seen. The stomach is where the most visceral part of the human genus is located and I think it is the most impulsive. Jesus was or was a thoughtful person and he needed a superior treatment and a divine point to navigate in this world, do not you believe?

Richard Martin Maya Born in 1968 in Zürich, my origins come from two very different cultures that have influenced the moment and the way of working where there is a constant search for balance between the logical and the more Mediterranean part. “Art is an adventure in an unknown world, different for each viewer.”
