Since starting painting in early 2010 (in oil 2012), Joseph DeCommer has amassed an impressive body of work. From his studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he paints a wide variety of subjects in realism, ranging from love, destruction, loss, and sometimes humor. His work has been a part of many group shows in the Grand Rapids area, and has had a solo venue as a part of the Art Hop monthly event in Kalamazoo, Michigan as well as East Lansing. Currently he is working toward completing a BFA program at Kendall College of Art and Design.
