I love the Azores which I visited several times. I make sketches and take photographs on site and paint in studio. This panoramic translates the wide open view over the Atlantic Ocean, with Corvo island in the background. Watching this work takes me back to this beautiful and rugged island. I wish to produce genuine art and tell stories with my paintings. After breaking a leg last year, I had to stay in bed and picked up water color. Artists like Edward Hopper, Joaquin Sorolla and Egon Schiele inspire me greatly. My favourite subjects are people, views with water (sea, river, lake, boats) and fly fishing.
