About The Artwork

"Global Migration" is about how all things are connected. Specifically, ways in which nature and human contain political constructs. The artwork speaks of the similarity in immigrants and monarchs in looking at the repeated and changing pattern of immigration and migration in today’s world, and historically. Ecological justice for humans, monarchs and other species will come only when we prioritize community livelihoods and ecological decision-making beyond borders. Inspired Also by research for my public Art installation, “Reflecting on a river”. And another work about immigration in "Cloud Anthologies" a public work dealing with community and history.
