About

In her informal pictures, random shape is given much space. The colors flow together uncontrollably, are then blotted, blurred, rolled and repeatedly redissolved with water or alcohol. This creates complex works that are delicate and fine. In addition to canvas, she paints on glass. Layers of film, transparencies, painted papers and photo- graphs are incorporated between and below the glass panes. Observed from close up, they seem to contain new information. It looks as if they pose a poetic mystery.

The biomorphic shapes foreshadow primeval landscapes. Painted signs and
symbols support this impression. The pictures remind us that we are part of a larger creation.

We have almost forgotten this, because our civilized life is constrained by urban structures. P. Vogler‘s images draw the viewer into another, metaphysical world.

She creates new work intuitively. Together with the artist Ursula Paul, she has developed this intuitive and sensitive way to paint, the new style „form signs intuitive.“ This term includes painting which follows the intuition of the artist. The picture should trigger the viewer‘s impulses: well-being, mirroring the psychological state, activation of self-healing powers. The creative process is the preparation for this cycle. Patricia Vogler connects through meditation specifically with the purpose or person. This „participation mystique“ permits access to the information that will be rendered in form and color. The visual communication works unconsciously and individually, more so than language. The perception and recognition consists of two components: objective and subjective. What is relevant to the viewer, he selects. The viewer can start from where he wants to be picked up. As necessary, willingness and openness will trigger the process carefully and prudently.
