About

Kazuhito Sahara (born in Tokyo in 1975. Lives in Tokyo).
Artist / Water-color painter (Aquarellist).
Sahara creates paintings and video works with water-soluble materials such as watercolors, acrylic paint, and sumi ink. Having hand-drawn paintings as his basic style, he has committed to creating the works in which viewers are able to feel warmth. Based on the unique Japanese sensitivity, derived from the aesthetic established in Ukiyoe prints as the silhouetted motifs, he has been drawing the beauty which undiscovered in our daily life, however waiting for being discovered. His projects range from solo exhibition, group exhibition to varied workshops. He also conducts collaborative event with artists of different fields. Recently, his works have been featured on TV and in magazines, and he currently works as an instructor in Toho University and Ryotokuji University.
