Born in Singapore, 1971, lives and works in Singapore. My work looks relatively simple and this is what I call the first impression. However, my work is really about the second impression where a lot more is happening and not seen the first time.I am interested . In the open ended and the ongoing. In memories and dreams. In daily experiences. In the variety of one thing. In the pure, direct and honest. In empty spaces. In fragments that are starting points of narratives. In accumulation. In the strangeness of life. In patterns and repetition. In unfolding and layering. In visual illusion. In dislocation of time, place and scale.I animate my drawings and by doing so I make them come alive for a few seconds.
