About

Born 1957 in Edinburgh of East Anglian parents, I have lived in the north, midlands and south east of England, in Cardiff, Dublin, Naples and now Lisbon. I began painting in oils while living in Ireland. I love the paintings of Matisse, Bonnard and Hodgkin and still visit the London galleries whenever I can. After 7 years in colourful Naples I am looking forward to being inspired by Portugal.

Education

I studied French & Spanish and worked in London for a decade in office and legal administration. In Dublin I followed a Masters in religious history with two years' research on the Huguenots.
