About The Artwork
Description: This sculpture is an oversized non-functional chair made from steel. The seat of the chair is lined with velvet and holds two hundred and fifty small aluminum flashing chairs. The small chairs, fill the seat facing in every direction. All seem to be in different moments, some are overturned, some are in lines, some in groups, some in pairs, and some even in the mass seem to be alone. However, taken as a whole they seem to be like cheap rings or sparkling candy wrappers, all the same and all dispensable.Year Created: 2003
