"The Dove" The sculpture is based on a story written in the Holy Scripture. "And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off:" ( Genesis 8:11 ) King James Version The dove with an olive leaf is a biblical symbol of a new life and a new beginning, and also a symbol of hope and of God's faithfulness to the people.
