About The Artwork
bigBONSAI represents the synthesis between man and nature. Each cultivated green area - private or public - faces a 'bonsai-question' concerning the degree with which the natural surrounding is being cultivated. bigBONSAI is a paradox (through exaggeration). Yet, acting as a sculptural picture plane, bigBONSAI grows with its surrounding as the airy plane fills with varying background imagery of natural or urban content. Douglas-fir, un-lacquered and lacquered with acrylic (Pacific Blue), screws and wood shred. Please observe that one cubic meter of wood shred (douglas-fir) should be ordered at local lumber yard upon purchase of the art work.
