About The Artwork
He does not pose against the background of nature, does not attract attention. On the contrary, it dissolves in it and becomes part of the landscape. Taken out of context and moved to a neutral (white) environment, it retains a knit of shadows and glare of the sun on its body - a small human landscape. Man-landscape was created in anticipation of total self-isolation. Back in March, he could have seemed a bit spooky. But after the ban on visiting parks and forests, each of us is a bit of a Man-landscape. Now we are just taken out of our usual context and moved to a neutral environment. Even the sense of contact with nature can now only be imagined or mentioned. Polychrome sculpture: papier mache, acrylic height 14 cm
