About The Artwork
I collect these pieces of clay on the beach and preserve them so they become 'mudstones'. They're created by tidal action and the abrasion of the sand. I re-imagine them as fish created by the process of attrition and circling in a protective shoal or fish ball. This work was commissioned by visitors to Artists At Home, Chiswick, 2018 who saw another that had been sold.
