A line forms the origin of the sculpture "420 degrees". The intertwined form symbolises filigree lightness, which is diametrically opposed to the heaviness of the steel. In addition to the closely spaced arcs, the sculpture is formed by curved radii and gentle twists. The oxidised surface of the sculpture, which can be installed both indoors and outdoors, creates a very elegant effect. In terms of design, the sculpture belongs to the wide-ranging group of my wedge bodies. Reduced to clear, abstract forms, the sculpture is characterised by light and shadow.

Statement: Wedge shapes are the foundation of my sculptural vocabulary. Even my latest sculptures are based on wedge forms that are stretched out into long linear shapes before rolling up, wrapping around, and twisting. The steel sculptures are developed through a digital 3D process and then transformed into flat elements, cut, rounded, twisted, before being welded together and grinded. Some appear delicate and light, while others are tightly looped and compact. In some cases, the curves are so close together that the limit of what is manufacturable is reached. Light and shadow playing on edges and surfaces, enhancing the dynamism of the forms and their spatial appearance.
