Hand cut and carved in stainless steel, Infinite Spiral resists the elements of weather, spinning freely, and capturing the unbounded motion of our shared air. Inspired by things like space, communication, and air, which are unending, Mr. Haynie finds comfort in the concept of infinity. Designed as a garden meditation piece, viewers may rest beneath Infinite Spiral to contemplate their place in the cosmos. From concept, to cut, to completion, each of Dan Haynie’s sculptures are unrepeated, and solely fabricated by hand, in his Lubbock metalwork studio.

I was born and raised in the panhandle of west Texas ( the Llano Estacado) where I now live. I started making welded metal sculpture after taking a welding course. Making sculpture was a hobby until I began to consign my work for sale in galleries in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I exhibit at SHIDONI Gallery outside Santa Fe, I have exhibited there for twenty years.
