“HospitaScape” sculpture will be my expression of Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, its atmosphere of the buildings and people involved in it. I wish to combine new and old, research inside and outside, intensity and balance. My idea is to discover connections between spaces as well as between people in the space. I’ll try describe significant rooms and buildings but I will mostly concentrate on corridors and steps as a symbols of passages, but as well as connections between patients, staff and visitors. My works usually talk about human condition. I do mostly place figure in cubic shape to express individual state, existence, character or describe moment of being. During my residency at the hospital I wish to introduce and involve others by presenting the method to produce cubic shape from wire and discus arrangement of figures inside the cubic. I hope to close up process and possibilities of using wire as art material in various way.
