The title is an extract of the book Der Zauberberg (The Magic Mountain - 1924) of Thomas Mann, when the author narrates a death of a character, and the liberation of social obligations of the dead person. The sculpture proposes to relate de scale of the horizontal structure to a possible (symbolic) absence of a body lying down (or suspended) between the chairs.
