Death Masks Sculpture

It is a celebration of the outer extremes of human experience, such as the motivations behind morbitity, gore, isolation and death itself. Through the use of specific emblems the work aims to portray the use of the same systems of symbolism that were used in the past as methods of control, and indeed the creation of "reality". Man, as a species or an individual has always followed agendas (either self guided or directed by an outside force) be it military, religious, political, spiritual, physical or material. The lengths people are prepared to go to and the sacrifices made along the way - which in most cases blur the line between insanity and rational thought - is a core theme in our work.
