Corona Sculpture

Michelangelo saw figures in blocks of marble, Rembrandt saw the light, Van Gogh is colour and movement, Picasso created shapes, Andy Warhol was into fashion and celebrity, and he liked cans. Hockney teaches us that art is how you see the world around you. I see beautiful compositions of colour and shape in flattened roadkill drink cans and bottle tops. Piece of flattened roadkill drink can and bottle top stitched to plastic subframe, with acrylic paint on bottle top, in front of glass sheet within recycled frame. Behind the glass sheet on paper are my signatures, my left thumb print, an anti forgery stamp, date and title. This hybrid sculpture/painting/collage can stand on a surface, or hang on a wall. The measurements include the frame, which is an integral part of the hybrid.
