This composition represents the damaged heart of the animal. Strange that the man was waiting for the unlikely impala. How long does a hunter wait for game? The heart will beat no more, but it does spin.

Born Denver 5/1958. I spent a lot of time skiing in winter and hiking in summer in the Rocky Mountains. I spent two years in Jamaica in the US Peace Corp growing trees. Did a lot of traveling in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa and settled in Australia 10 years ago.I consider my artistic style to be modern medieval. I'm drawn to primitive and naive art and am fascinated by the folk art of Michoacan. My first artworks were comics and the comic element is still strong in my bronze sculpture. I love the surrealists, Bosch, Goya and Australian Aboriginal Art.
