About The Artwork
The Sparks Stove barn in Castro Valley, California is at the corner of two roads where you always see a lot of cyclists. I love old barns, and this one has weathered purple paint on it. I think it's a protected, historical site, so I'm hoping they'll never tear it down! This is a limited edition print. The image is carved onto a linoleum block, then hand printed with black ink on Hahnemuhle Copperplate Warm White paper, on my etching press. Watercolor was added after the print was dry. Print area is about 10.5 x 8 inches, paper measures 14 x 11 inches. Each print is signed by the artist, numbered and is an original piece of art.
