Portrait of Phillip Roth Print - Limited Edition of 1

This portrait of author Phillip Roth is an intaglio etching It was hand inked and printed from a hand engraved 10x7 inch plate onto a 17x14 inch sheet of Italian handmade paper, leaving a large white boarder (so the overall size of the print is 17x14 inches). The beautiful word "intaglio" refers to the print making technique of hand incising an image into a surface (a metal plate), then filling the incised line with ink. This entirely hand-made, original print can be framed either showing the paper's beautiful deckled edges, or a mat boarder can be cut and placed over the image.
