About The Artwork
Twenty-one Wimbledon MFA students were invited to complete the word 'art st' rubber-stamped on a white postcard with their personal version of the letter 'i', and sign below. These postcards were scanned, arranged in a grid and printed on fine art paper. Paper has curvature in its 'DNA' because it's manufactured on a roller. Thus when stood on its end it forms a natural column. This sculptural form resembles a capital 'I' which reinforces the idea.
