About The Artwork
In a way, this piece is the outcome of artworks I produce for a while… I drew a lot of sketches, working on and challenging the idea of line : abstract, minimalism, figurative, etc… A lot of drawings are about smoke and about destroyed houses, for something to appear from chaos just with curves and straight lines and pen strokes (http://www.benjamin-mis.net/lignes.php and http://www.benjamin-mis.net/lignes2.php). Anyway, the idea of the snowy mountains on top comes from a book, "ascension" of Ludwig Hohl, the story of two individuals trying to climb a glacier… 15 copies numbered and signed each.
