About The Artwork
Three teenaged Arab cameleers (Modern day magi - three wise men) Oman Portfolio Premium Quality Print, signed, numbered and dated on mount card, and on rear of print. Limited Edition 6 of 50 Mounted on creamy white mount card. Print size is 16.5 inches (H) x 23.5 inches (W). With mount card, overall size is 20.5" x 27.5". Shipped flat in cardboard box with Certificate of Authenticity. I took this photograph on Black & White film using a Hasselblad camera (Medium Format). This means that there is very fine definition in the image so that even the whiskers on the camels are visible! A perfect Gift for Christmas or Birthday! I took this photo just to the north of Muscat, the capital city of the Sultanate of Oman in 2003. It was in a rural coastal area - the Batinah - where unfortunately there is a lot of salinization of the soil due to egress of seawater into the arable land. This has taken place largely because the water table has dropped due to extracting too much fresh water from wells. This explains why the date palms in the background have died.
