About The Artwork

New life all around old watercourse (falaj) beside Dead Fig Tree in Ain Razat after monsoon. Premium Quality Color Print, signed, numbered and dated on mount card, and on rear of print. Limited Edition 3 of 25 Mounted on creamy white mount card. Print size is 16.0 inches (H) x 16.0 inches (W). With mount card, overall size is 20.0" x 20.0". Shipped flat in cardboard box with Certificate of Authenticity. The original photograph was taken in Dhofar, Sultanate of Oman in 2001 near Ain Razat ("Ain" means "a spring of water" in Arabic). On one occasion, when I was having an exhibition in Salalah (in 2005), a man in his mid-thirties told me about that tree. He knew it well as a boy of 8 (c.1980). He used to look after his father's cows in this area. He remembers this tree well, because then it was alive and provided some shade. This photo encourages me in my belief that if we put our trust in the right place then times of shortage will be followed by times of plenty.
