About The Artwork

Photography has traditionally been used to capture moments in time seen by the photographer. Before any manipulation may occur, there’s a direct correlation between what the photographer saw, and what is on the negative. There exists a huge spectrum of light, with only a very small portion visible to the human eye. By using a modified camera, the interaction of infra-red light and a plant can be captured… Something that can never be seen by the eye. This interaction can expose a secret interaction between that light and a plant, unseen. The images in this series are moments captured of that secret interaction between different plans, and infra-red light. The colors have not been manipulated. the colors and tones describe this secret reality. The print is 7x7”, and mounted with a 9x9” over matte
