This series gets some of its inspiration from an old ancient Celtic concept, That of "Peregrinatio", the journey. It was said that unlike Pilgrimage where the destination might be a Shrine, a holy place, a city. Peregrinatio was the journey of an Inner prompting, led by the Spirit and travelling as "hosites mundi", "guests of the world". A journey undertaken for the love of God, or for the love of Christ, pro amore Christi. Here again The Skelligs off Irelands South Western coast remain a subtle inclusion both in theme and composition. Typically of irelands weather even in Summer, rain can visit even on the sun filled days. Here approaching Dunquin village, whose harbour was the kicking off point for some of the nearby islands such as the Blaskets and one time even the Skelligs. Again Black and White photography seemed to help give expression to this concept of journey that was done for real by many humble hearts. Prints come either as a bordered signed print rolled and tubed, or are printed onto Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm and are then mounted using a window mount onto 1400 micron thick conservation board, this is then properly hinged to an undermount using acid free hinging tape so that the picture can breathe and move with any temperature and humidity changes.
